The wall hangings started as an experiment with masks. For two years, he researched masks from every culture he could find in print and online.
Most pieces still retain parts of a face - eyes, nose and sometimes mouths. Now he is experimenting with different clay bodies and glazes on them. So there are more distinct colors along with the texturing and layering. Most are made of stoneware, but some are terracotta. Each wall hanging comes with a metal hanger.
